Homework:
For next class write a short design brief for the student organization or advocacy group. (should fit on one 8.5 x 11) and answer the following:

Who are they? (what is their service, mission, reason for them to exist)
What is the goal(s) of the poster? (increase something? raise $, get followers on IG. Be specific!)
What do they need to say?
(what key messages could it communicate?)
Who is their audience(s)? Write two personas: Name, Age, Major, Summary of Why they should care?) Where will this communication happen? (context, place, channel) What do they want people to say/think/feel about them? (attitudes, vibe, perceptions) What must it include on it? (logos, accreditation, membership, url, social media etc)

Print your 2-3 posters and place in the final context to see how they interact in the space. Take an image of the posters in context from 5ft, 20ft and 50ft away. Create a pdf of your posters and images of them in context to project on screen next class.

Homework:
Poster Printed and Due Oct. 23rd. Full size with tags if you don’t want to pin directly in the poster. Post pdf versions on server. Feel free to print the poster a bit smaller than 18x24 to fit it 2up on the plotter if you would like. Just don’t go smaller than than the longest dimension being 20 inches.  

Render Version 1.0 of your “Motion Poster”. 5-10secs with sound. 900px by 1200px.
