Homework:
Complete Step 3. Contextual Study with a Journey Map or Experience Map and listing AEIOU/Affordances. Make your map and print for next class.

AEIOU is a way to organize a situation into five core components: Activities, Environment, Interactions, Objects, and Users.

Individual meetings about research work-to-date.

Homework: Complete Step 4: Generate Ideas/Brainstorming: create a range of ideas for subtle interventions that could influence the desired behavior.

For next class bring in a slide deck of idea sketches with moodboards to further visualize/contextualize ideas. Sketches can be drawn or made digitally, but make sure they are presentable via a pdf on screen.

For those creating interventions that might need a name and simple brand identity then begin sketching what that might look like.

For those that will be providing information or “how to” you will need to collect that information and/or write that copy.

For all of you...you will need to communicate how this thing will exist in the world. What it will look like, feel like, talk like, dress like. Use tools like a moodboard to do that.

Use your maps, persona(s) and design thinking visualizations to help set up your ideas.

Post your slide decks here: PROJECT_2_BEHAVIOR_CHANGE

Present idea sketches and moodboards to the group!

Homework:
Complete Step 5 and 6: Develop Concepts. Identify a 1-2 promising ideas and design into more detailed and refined concepts.

Design Prototypes: Create printed or digital mock-ups of your concepts.

Your prototypes for next class should reveal how the intervention will look, what it will be called, what the voice of the text is etc. If you are working in print, then bring in printed prototypes full-size. If you are working digitally then you should be able to present how the user will interact with this intervention.

User Journey: Using your existing journey map...map out the user journey to express how and when the Shikkake will interact with the user. This will give your intervention context.
