Plein Air Prints Wood & Linoleum Block Prints
Each summer I lead a Designing Outside Studio
in Rocky Mountain National Park. As part of the week long camping and design-making trip the students and I make quick block prints “en plein aire” (or outdoors). Hiking, sketching and reacting to place I carry a block, some carving tools, a few inks and some paper and make some prints in situ on a rock, bench, picnic table or just off the trail.
